DAY 4
- Warm Up (10 mins): Students meet in the computer lab. Students should have their flashcards with pieces of evidence written on them that they collected on Day 3. Students individually sort their evidence into three piles, (evidence that supports assimilation, evidence that supports removal, evidence that supports sovereignty). Then students rate each piece of evidence on a scale of 1-3 (1 being very weak and 3 being very strong).
- Blogging Activity (50 mins): Students write a blog entry on the class website in response to the content question. In the students' argument, the student should demonstrate connections between claims and evidence as well as the sound reasoning, correct sequence, examples, and details.
- Students should draft their blog response, have one peer review it, edit/ revise the blog, and publish it.
- Students write a response to at least two other students' blog posts.
Homework: Students write responses to at least two other students blogs if this was not completed in class.
